Dear friends   September has arrived, and with it the harvest and its changes; Harvesting new crops and new sales opportunities.  Axial is working together with you to grow your business. How are we helping you to meet your sales goals?   Axialwines USA   The next Robert Parker tasting together with Jay Miller is coming up. On the 9th of January 2009 Louis Geirnaerdt will be present again to show our wines personally in Maryland.   During this summer we received and organized various incentive trips. Our distributor Republic in Texas, our retailer Specs and our distributor in Colorado,  our distributor in North Carolina - Fine Wine Trading and our distributor of Michigan - J.Lewis Cooper/Viviano. Our distributor in Indianapolis Monarch Beverage Company together with a member of our broker teams all participated in a roundtrip through Spain. The trip was a huge success!   Read the comment of Wayne Miller Sales Manager Fine Wine Division Monarch Beverage Company:   "Thanks again” for the wonderful week in Spain.  It was quite an experience.  I enjoyed meeting everyone and learned a lot about Axial's Spanish wines.  Spain is a beautiful country and has a lovely culture.  We had a nice two days that were very full in Madrid.  The visit to the Prado museum and to see the “flamenco” dancers was a nice treat”   We have organized sales support trips for the sales teams of our distributors and for the key account managers of our distributors by Louis Geirnaerdt and David Geary (our recently reincorporated area sales manager) which will take place during this September and October to North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas and Indianapolis.   Finally we hope we have brought sufficient stock to our state side warehouse so you will not miss any sales opportunity during the holiday season.   Axial International   In October there will be a great promotion of our wines for the brands Torrelongares and Marques de Almonacid in various large multiple chains like Albert Heijn in Holland. This is due to the great ratings of the wines in the guide "Wijnalmanak" written by the most prestigious Dutch wine critic and expert Harold Hamersma.     Axialdirecto   In Denmark, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom our customers get direct benefit on their economical and efficient purchasing of grouped pallets containing different wines delivered direct from our warehouse in Zaragoza.    Alastair Marshall, Senior Wine Buyer for renown English wine merchant Adnams, said "The single collection point service offered by Axial is not only convenient and economical but helps us in our efforts in reducing our carbon footprint"     Wineries and winery news.   The harvest has started later than normal this year. In Somontano 8th of September we initiated at Bodegas Otto Bestue the first ever harvest of the Chardonnay. A new white will be launched in December 2008.  16.000 bottles of Chardonnay blended with some Viognier with a stunning design and the stelvin closure. Cariñena, Bierzo , Borja and Rueda started mid September. The harvest forecast for all regions is less quantity but more quality.   The newly built state of the art Rueda winery for Avelino Vegas will see its first harvest. We will also switch the white Esperanza wines to  screw cap, stelvin, closure.   Ribera del Duero and the Zumaya wines, Rioja Vallobera wines, Calatayud and the Cruz de Piedra wines and the Albada wines will start  their harvest in October.   Finally Bodegas Vallobera has changed the image for the Vallobera Crianza. Vallobera Pago Malarina the young wine will also change image with the next vintage.
