Bodem Bodegas has produced the only Vidadillo rosé wine in the world.
We appreciate its raspberry color with a nose of good intensity highlighting ripe red fruits, dried flowers, undergrowth, a very complex and expressive wine of the Vidadillo variety.
Smooth on the palate with refreshing acidity and reminiscence of a fresher red fruit.

Vidadillo’s only rosé wine in the world
Our wine Las Margas Rosado Vidadillo 2021
Bodem, which means “land” in Dutch, truly symbolizes the origin of this winery with Dutch roots. After more than 25 years working and living by and for Spanish wine, the Geirnaerdt-van Ekeris family found in Cariñena the place to which they felt deeply linked. That is why Bodem is not just another winery, but a firm commitment to Spanish wine, to the Garnacha variety and, in short, to a dream.
The first wine of our Bodem winery is Las Margas. Las Margas is the beginning of a continuous process in which we have the conviction to improve year after year the previous one, taking advantage of our experience and knowledge. In short, dreaming of a better future.
Las Margas is produced in our new state-of-the-art winery, “Bodem”. The particular interaction between the geology and its harsh climate has produced a soil that offers enough nutrients, but also has many minerals.
The Romans transported the Grenache vine to other regions of their empire because of its resistance to the harsh climate, and today we continue to do the same producing a great wine full of character and authenticity, spreading the message all over the world.
Bodem is a modern, innovation-oriented winery, capable of adapting to the changing demands of the international wine market without abandoning Spanish traditions.
Bodem belongs to the P. D. O. Cariñena, the oldest and most extensive P. D. O. of Aragón.
The vineyards are at an altitude of between 400 and 800 meters, and the winery is located in the heart of the Sierra de Algairén, the birthplace of Garnacha.
The dry climate, the abundance of sunshine and the rugged soils of Algairén, with the precise mineral content, are all that the Garnacha grape needs.
Las Margas wine is a clear example.
Why you should buy this vidadillo rosé wine?
The purpose of this wine is to express in a bottle the essence of the area of La Sierra de Algairén, of an autochthonous grape, the Vidadillo variety.
An ancestral variety, present since the 12th century, whose origin is in Cariñena. Some of the few vineyards of this variety can be found in Almonacid de la Sierra, where Bodem Bodegas is located.
The Vidadillo grape is the maximum expression of the terroir and the microclimate of the area, which make this wine a balanced rosé, due to the role played by acidity and tannins.
The cycle of the Vidadillo variety is long. Its clusters contain a large number of large berries. The name of this grape variety has been modified throughout its history, from vidadico to its final denomination, Vidadillo.
Las Margas Vidadillo is the result of the work of a great team of people who have opted for a native grape. Bodem Bodegas has invested in R+D+I and in the study of the best plots of this grape variety to be able to elaborate and give wine lovers the opportunity to enjoy a unique wine, a 100% Vidadillo rosé.

A special wine in la Sierra de Algairén
Cariñena is the great unknown outside Spain; the forgotten cradle and birthplace of the Garnacha grape. Its arid climate and rugged soils provide everything this variety needs: plenty of sunshine and just the right amount of minerals. We own 7 hectares of vineyards and control over 100 hectares of family vineyards of local growers in the Valdejalón region, in the heart of the Sierra de Algairén; the birthplace of the Garnacha grape variety.
The climate is continental; cold winters and warm summers with a radical thermal contrast between day and night. The characteristic wind of the area “El Cierzo” contributes to the dryness of the climate and keeps the vineyards free of pests.
In addition, the soil “Margas” is a type of soil that occurs on limestone rock in the Sierra de Algairén. With a production capacity of 1.6 million liters, our wines are made with traditional criteria using native grape varieties.
